The crucial nationwide conference of representatives from all over Greece, following the measures announced by Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the meeting with the 15-member farmers’ committee, will finally take place tomorrow, Thursday, at 12 noon in Nikaia of Larissa.

The mood favors the continuation of mobilizations. However, information suggests that farmers from Macedonia will convene separately, likely in Koufalia, at the same time.

Yesterday, from the Platycampos blockade, the president of the local Agricultural Association, Yiannis Koukoutsis, hinted at the possibility of holding a new nationwide meeting, where farmers will study the measures presented by the Prime Minister and decide whether to escalate their struggle or not.

Today, at 17:00′, another meeting is expected to take place in Platycampos, where there will be updates and discussions from the committee members who were in Athens.

In statements yesterday, however, Rizos Maroudas, a member of the Nationwide Committee of Blockades, noted that “we believe that the struggle must continue, that the blockades must strengthen even further to satisfy to the maximum extent possible the demands that the rural movement of the country has raised all these days”.

At 12:30′ PM, farmers blocked the road in Megalochori, Trikala, and they plan to do the same at 17:30′ PM on the E65 in Karditsa.
