The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees today reported another horrific shipwreck near Lampedusa, Italy, where the death of nine people was confirmed,” Mr. Duzharik stated.

The spokesperson for Antonio Guterres added that this is a “reminder of the dangers faced by refugees and migrants every day at the hands of smugglers as they seek a better life.”
