Appeals Prosecutor, Mr. Isidoros Dogiakos through his 700-page proposal, calls for the referral of 70 accused out of the total 80 to court, including the 18 accused MPs.
Further, he gives an indirect response to those who support (mainly members of GD)that justice criminalizes the ideology of Golden Dawn.
The prosecutors proposal refers to that “Is not possible to consider an association or organization as a legal political party, since they use it as a mantle in order to achieve its objectives with the use of physical and armed violence, threaten human lives and the health of citizens. In that case, the function of a political party like the one described above, could not legalize any insult, endangerment or damage to the legal interests of citizens and of the State”.
He continues by making clear that:” The ideology of leaders, supporters and friends of Golden Dawn is certainly criminal indifferent. But, a reference is made on the ideology, only historically , since the above have pursued to impose it by violent means and methods to those who were clearly ideologically opposed. ”
The Appeal prosecutor, among others and citing on seized electronic information of Mr. Nikos Michaloliakos, stated that he is positive that the imprisoned General Secretary of Golden Dawn, had the power of hierarchy and was fully aware of the party members actions.
