Benjamin Netanyahu is dissolving Israel’s war cabinet, which was formed urgently in October following Hamas’ attack, after briefing its members and following the resignations of Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot from the government.
Now, the Israeli Prime Minister will transfer certain issues to the political-security cabinet for discussion, while continuing to make sensitive decisions through a smaller advisory group.
Expected participants in this include Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, Knesset Speaker Jackie Hanegbi, and Shas party leader Aryeh Deri, who previously served as an observer in the war cabinet.
