After the completion of the 59th Eurovision contest and Conchita Wurst’s undisputed triumph, there have been many reactions regarding the singer’s unique appearance. And although many criticized the drag queen, others have defended Conchita fervently.
One of them was Anna Vissi, who in response to a fan, noted “Something I learned in life is never to feel sorry for anyone who makes his own choices to become happy.”
On Tuesday, the popular artist posted a new tweet, clearly showing her support for the right of any person to make different choices regarding his/her sexuality. “Look how ahead of her time was the great Italian singer Mina in 1981 with this album cover. Now it is 2014 and we still cannot accept statements of support for diversity. I’m just saying…! “, Anna Vissi wrote, posting an image of Mina’s cover.
Many of her online friends rushed to side with her and congratulate her for supporting different takes on life.
