The 5th “Sports Cardiology 2024” Conference in Delphi

It will take place from 20 to 22 September with the participation of distinguished Greek and foreign cardiologists

This year the 5th “Sports Cardiology 2024” Conference will take place at the European Cultural Centre in Delphi, Greece, from 20 to 22 September 2024. Distinguished scientists from Greece and abroad will speak at the conference. The presentations and scientific studies will be automatically translated from Greek to English or vice versa, as there will be simultaneous online and interactive broadcasting of the conference proceedings. Thus, chairs, speakers and commentators can participate either by physical presence or via internet.
The president of the conference Spyros Papaionnou (in the photo) , interventional cardiologist, director of the B-Cardiology Clinic of the Athens Naval Hospital, Adjunct Professor in Cardiology, E.U.C. In his message for the conference, he stresses, among other things, the following: “The main core of our conference is sports cardiology, in the context of which both the prevention and the therapeutic approach and treatment of cardiovascular problems of people who play sports either amateur or professionally are investigated.Following last year’s successful event in Ancient Olympia and wanting to maintain the coupling of Medicine, with Sport and Culture, this year our conference will be held at the European Centre of Delphi. In this sacred city of the Ancient Greeks, the most modern views and developments in the field of sports cardiology will be presented, with the scientific contribution of great Greek and foreign scientists, who every year honour our conference with their presence.” See here the conference programme
