30-year-old Evangelia Koutsovoulou has managed to conquer the European and U.S. markets by exporting humble Greek herbs under the brand name “Daphnis and Chloe”. With just a year in the world of business she has managed to take Greek herbs to Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain, the U.K and the U.S. It all began with an epiphany moment she had in Milan where she was living at the time. She took some oregano and thyme for friends and they were impressed with the quality of the herbs.

The simple souvenir has resulted in the building of a successful business after Ms. Koutsovoulou sought out local producers with the best supply of daphne, oregano, thyme and other herbs freshly collected from the Greek countryside.

She also keeps a blog that gives Greek recipes and visitors can even create their own special gifts. (CLICK HERE FOR THE RECIPES)
