Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation with Donald Trump, whom he congratulated on his election victory.

The call lasted about 10 minutes, in a very warm atmosphere, according to the prime minister’s associates. Besides, the two men know each other, as Donald Trump was the first US president to invite Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the White House in early 2020

During the phone call, the Prime Minister underlined the importance of the strategic partnership between Greece and the US for stability and security in the wider region, while he stressed that he looked forward to close cooperation with the new US administration on issues of bilateral, regional and international interest.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis extended an invitation to Donald Trump to visit Greece.
