Abu Dhabi has been chosen as the venue for the EuroLeague Final Four. The league’s General Assembly decided that this season’s champion will be crowned in the UAE.
Initial plans for Belgrade, which appeared to be the frontrunner with Stark Arena vying to host three consecutive Final Fours, were not realized. Instead, the General Assembly’s vote awarded the event to Abu Dhabi.
The voting results were clear: 11 shareholders voted in favor of Abu Dhabi, while 2 opposed. This decision pertains solely to the 2024-25 season.
The Final Four will take place from May 23 to May 25, with the semifinals scheduled for Friday, May 23, and both the championship and third-place games on Sunday, May 25. This marks the first time the Final Four will be held outside of Europe. Barring any unforeseen changes, the event is expected to take place at the 18,000-seat Etihad Arena, which has previously hosted six NBA pre-season games, including the recent Nuggets vs. Boston Celtics matchup.
