The 39-year-old man made his way to jail on Tuesday (10/12) at noon after killing his 32-year-old wife with a hammer in Ampelokipi.
The accused, who even during his testimony to the competent interrogator was reportedly crying constantly, reportedly said that he argued with the victim and then he became blurred and being in a boiling psychic urge grabbed a hammer from his work bag and hit his wife.
“I had not premeditated the crime. It was a crime of passion done in the heat of passion,” the 39-year-old said.
He added: “I went crazy when I heard her talking on the phone to a man and saying that she was going to leave me, taking one of our two sons with her. At that moment I got blurry, took the hammer from my construction bag, and hit her.”
At the same time, she added that she did not stage her flight abroad and that she needed time to understand what she was doing. “I wish I could turn back time.”
Furthermore, before the interrogator, he allegedly claimed that he tried to recall the victim, but when he realised the woman was dead, he panicked and decided to hide the body and reassure his children by pretending that their mother had left the house.
