Weather – Kolydas: Showers and thunderstorms from Friday – New temperature drop on Saturday

On Saturday there will be rain in most areas of the country - Improvement expected on Sunday

A new “wave” of showers and thunderstorms is expected from the west on Friday afternoon (Dec 20).

According to EMY director Thodoros Kolydas, Saturday will see showers in most areas of the country and temperatures will drop. “The weather will show a temporary improvement on Sunday.”

The weather tomorrow Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service

Generally clear weather across the country. Visibility in the morning and evening hours is likely to be limited in places, especially on the mainland.

Winds will blow from the north from 2 to 4 Beaufort, in the eastern Aegean up to 5 Beaufort in some places and in the northern Ionian Sea up to 6 Beaufort in the midday hours and in the north-eastern part of the island it will be possible to get some winds up to 5 to 10 knots.

The temperature will rise slightly further mainly in the west and south. It will reach 15 to 17 degrees Celsius in the central and northern mainland and the northeastern Aegean islands, and 18 to 19 degrees Celsius in the rest of the mainland, the Ionian Sea, the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese.

In the morning and evening hours, frost may occur in the northern mountainous areas.
