Pulse: 30% for ND, 17% for PASOK, SYRIZA is fifth, nine parties in Parliament

49% expect next year to be more or less worse than this year - 75% are interested in Greek-Turkish relations, 69% in what is happening in the Middle East

Newsroom December 19 08:54

ND closes 2024 with poll gains in the aftermath of the 2025 budget debate and raises its lead over PASOK in the vote estimate to 13 points – 30% versus 17% – according to the results of the Pulse poll presented on Sky’s main newscast.

The count paints a picture of a nine-party parliament – with the New Left and Mera25 also being left out of this poll. PASOK and SYRIZA’s population figures don’t show any differentiation compared to the previous Pulse poll, while KKE and Hellenic Solution show gains.

The poll lists three parties at 5% in the vote estimate Course of Freedom, Voice of Logic and the Democracy Movement, while Niki seems to be under pressure and marginally crosses the 3% threshold. In the voting intention, a 16.3% “grey zone” appears, as well as a 2% vote in smaller parties.

54% of those who say their voting intention for SYRIZA say that after the election of new leadership things will go better for the party, while in the whole sample 26% say they are “satisfied” with PASOK’s return to the position of the official opposition.

Across the sample as a whole, there is a high degree of pessimism about the year ahead – it is telling that one in two say they expect 2025 to be a little or a lot worse. Citizens express considerable interest in Greek-Turkish relations, as well as in what is happening in the Middle East, while one in five assesses Antonis Samaras’ statements and attitude positively.
