Evangelos Venizelos received an email from George Papandreou, in which the former Prime Minsiter told PASOK’s leader that he will find “a very clear way” to support the party.

PASOK’s leader made this revelation during a Friday morning talking show on Mega TV channel.

“Everyone expresses their opinions however they can”, stated Mr. Venizelos, reminding that Papandreou is an active PASOK MP and supports the government.

he also stated that “PASOK is not the soft underbelly of the political system” and warned that it will be SYRIZA which will have a problem, on Monday.

PASOK’s president also stated that citizens, through their vote of confidence in the European elections, will give an impetus to the establishment of the center-left and its responsibility after the elections themselves.

Mr.Venizelos also pointed out that all throughout Europe, governments are facing problems. “Look at what is going on with the fall of Hollande’s popularity, the right wing in the Netherlands and the Eurosceptics in Britain”, he explained.

On Schaeuble’s statements on the negotiation period before he became Finance Minister he stated that he is not aware how Mr. Papandreou was negotiating, but he imagines he “did the best he could”.
