Within the next month, Google plans to begin testing the car which moves around on its own, for the first time in a public street.

In the last seven months and after years of testing, Google has built a number of prototype vehicles, testing different aspects of design: from steering and braking, to sensors and software that basically controls driving. The result is the first, completely autonomous car.

Visually, the result may not thrill fans of driving and cars, and it might be like a cartoon car but it is certainly a huge step in motoring history.
