“I believe that we need more Europe and that this Europe, must sit at the table of peace negotiations when the time is right,” Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said.

“As the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, acknowledged, we have imposed sanctions on Russia and this issue will be a main item on the negotiating table for a peace which I hope will be just and which must be built. We are working towards this goal, as well as for peace in Gaza,” the Italian diplomatic chief added during his visit to Turin.

“There are countries that are talking to the United States, Italy is part of the so-called ‘quintet’ and the G7 is scheduled for Monday, which means that France is not talking for us,” Tajani concluded.
