At the same time, he stressed that he found no evidence of political interference; no one picked up the phone to intervene, he said. He admitted that due to mismanagement, valuable data was lost, but no one found that there was central planning and order to lose data.

Speaking to Mega on Thursday, he said, among other things, that there was no contingency plan that the people involved were aware of and implemented after the accident.

Beyond that, he also said, the commission in all its investigations found that valuable evidence was lost that could have answered the question of whether there was illegal cargo.
