In an appearance on radio station RTL, the actress heard a listen who phoned in to say “I want to thank Angelina Jolie for having the courage to speak publicly. The way she supported this fight along with those who have lost, have fought and are heroines, fighting this disease. In this way, with courage and daring, in announcing her choice, she helped open a topic that was taboo in France. She is not only an amazing woman but also a fantastic mother”.

Jolie stammered and while crying, said “Oh my God”. When she calmed, she thanked the listener: “Thank you for this message. We are all in this fight together, not just the women, but the fathers, the sons and daughters who support these women. I was inspired by so many women in my life and I am happy that I can help people, and as long as I can, I will keep doing so. I hope this discussion continues, there are other cancers besides ovary cancer and breast cancer and other health issues that women are facing. Talking about it demystifies it and it is no longer taboo. We should be proud to talk about it”.
