German-born Katerina Rotsou is from Dusseldorf, Germany, but she later repatriated to Greece where she studied Greek and German literature at the University of Athens. Her passion for designing, inventing and creating things led her to invent the Greek bag. The trademark image of the bag are maps of Greece so that locals and tourists alike will never lose their way. And it’s not just bags, but other accessories with Greek map images.

She says that she drew inspiration for the concept after noticing the maps in her daughter’s schoolbooks.
