Police from the Organized Crime Unit conducted a raid on the apartment where the 39-year-old woman, who was killed early Saturday morning by the explosive device she herself had planted outside a Thessaloniki bank, had been staying.
According to initial assessments by the bomb squad (TEEM), the apartment contained high-powered explosives, eight standard detonators, and a small quantity of TNT. Authorities estimate the total amount of explosives found to be approximately one kilo.
The apartment is located in the heart of Thessaloniki, specifically in the Ladadika district, and had been rented on Wednesday by an individual who is now being sought by police.
