The Announcement from Panathinaikos

We respect and fully appreciate the efforts and intentions of the Government and, personally, Minister Mr. Vroutsis.

Together with all our fans, we look you in the eyes and publicly pledge for the absolutely smooth conduct of the game. The excellent hospitality of all teams at our “home,” OAKA, is an unnegotiable reality that will continue to stand. We are not risking what we have achieved with great effort, so that our home court is now recognized across Europe as a model.

Our sole and obvious request to the Government and Minister Mr. Vroutsis is to ensure equal treatment for our athletes and to uphold legality within the four lines of the court. Everyone should respond excellently at the level they serve; otherwise, they should be aware that they will face the legal consequences of their actions and omissions. Nothing more, nothing less.

And may the best team win.
