GPO poll: 25.7% in the vote intention for New Democracy, Course of Freedom remaining in second place

Mitsotakis twenty points ahead of Androulakis in suitability for the prime ministry - Constantopoulou first in the effectiveness of the opposition

An increase of 0.6 percentage points in New Democracy’s voting intention compared to the previous month is recorded in the GPO poll presented on Star’s main news bulletin.

Course of Freedom remains in second place, recording 12.6% with slight losses and a marginal lead over PASOK, which follows in third place with 12.4%. It is noted that the polling company did not release a vote projection table – therefore, no voting estimate was made public.

Hellenic Solution stands at 9.8%, the Communist Party (KKE) at 7.9%, SYRIZA at 5.8%, the Democracy Movement at 2.5%, Voice of Reason at 2.2%, NIKI at 2%, MeRA25 at 1.8%, and the New Left at 1.3%.

Preferred Prime Minister

Kyriakos Mitsotakis is considered the most suitable for prime minister with 29.3%, followed by “no one” with 25.3%. In this index, Nikos Androulakis leads marginally with 9.3%, just 0.1% ahead of Zoe Konstantopoulou, who gathers 9.2%.

Most popular ministers

In the top ten most popular ministers, Nikos Dendias leads, followed by: Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Olga Kefalogianni, Kostis Hatzidakis, Pavlos Marinakis, Takis Theodorikakos, Domna Michailidou, Michalis Chrisochoidis, Sofia Zacharaki, and Vasilis Kikilias. In the last position is Kostas Tsiaras.

Opposition effectiveness

Course of Freedom is seen as the most effective opposition party by 17.7%, followed by PASOK with 15.3%, Hellenic Solution with 13.5%, KKE with 7.7%, SYRIZA with 5.3%, Voice of Reason with 2.5%, Democracy Movement with 2.1%, etc.

Respondents’ views on major current issues are of great interest. Citizens are in favor of abolishing civil service tenure (permanency) at a rate of 55.3%.

At the same time:
61.1% view the government’s foreign policy negatively,
59.4% view negatively the measures to reduce migrant flows,
86.9% believe there is an increase in crime.

Additionally:
62.1% rate negatively the government’s measures to curb the cost of living,
48.8% believe that tackling inflation should be the government’s top priority.
