The orchestra, which is composed of male and female students, will present classical music works by Greek composers and film music, under the direction of the Assistant Professor of Music Studies of the National University of Athens, and admission will be free for the public.

On the same day, the exhibition spaces of the Acropolis Museum will be open, as every Friday, from 9 am to 10 pm, with a regular ticket. The second-floor restaurant will be open until 12 midnight (telephone reservations at 210 9000915).

In addition to the permanent collections, visitors will have the opportunity to tour, together with the Museum’s archaeologists, the exhibition ALLSPICE – Michael Rakowitz and Ancient Cultures, presented by the Acropolis Museum and NEON, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. Original objects of ancient civilizations from the Middle East and the southeastern Mediterranean regions dialogue with works of contemporary art by the internationally recognized Iraqi-American artist Michael Rakowitz, interweaving human relationships and stories about the past, present and future. The exhibition highlights timeless themes of cultural heritage, loss and restoration, survival and creation of culture, through works that are conceptual, moving, overtly political and certainly timely. Admission to the exhibition is free, as are the presentations by the archaeologists.
