The four French activists still being held in Israel, including Rima Hassan, a member of the European Parliament for France’s League for a Free France (LFI), will be deported tomorrow Thursday and Friday, Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced.

“We thank our representatives for their admirable mobilization, which allowed this swift outcome, despite the harassment and defamation they received,” Barrot said in a post on Wednesday.

The LFI has accused the French authorities of inaction after the Israeli army seized the sailboat bound for the Gaza Strip on Monday.

Shortly before Barot’s post, however, Adalah, an Israeli human rights NGO that assists arrested pro-Palestinian activists, reported that two of them, including Hassan, are in solitary confinement.

“Israeli authorities transferred Brazilian Tiago Avila and French-Palestinian MEP Rima Hassan to separate prisons and put them in solitary confinement,” according to Adalah.
