Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the state news agency TASS reported today.
Putin discussed with Erdogan the war in Ukraine and bilateral Russian-Turkish relations, TASS reported.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that new armed clashes in a Druze region in Syria threaten peace in the region, his office said.
The fighting, following the withdrawal of Syrian security forces from Suezda, “poses a threat to the entire region,” Erdogan said, adding that he considers it necessary for Israel not to violate Syrian sovereignty, according to a statement from his office.
