Moscow hints at Russian help if Greece requests

Greece and Russia have cultural, religious and historical ties that bind the two countries, but that's not all the foreign ministers from both countries discussed in Moscow on Wednesday

Newsroom February 11 11:38

Greek FM Nikos Kotzias played up the so-called “European destabilization” card on Wednesday during a meeting in Moscow with his counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

The up-until-recently university lecturer and author said Greece is at the center of this “possible destabilization” and clarified that the country wants to explain to its partners that problems must be solved through diplomacy and negotiations or a humanitarian crisis will arise.

He also expressed his gratitude to Russia for its long-standing support towards Cyprus, underlining that “our relationship with Russia is one of honest friendship”.
