The Nestos River runs through Bulgaria and Greece with the delta located in the south side of Kavala and Xanthi borders. Ways to integrate this region and the country’s national parks into the tourism sector were the focus of a working group at the Nestos Delta Information Center at the town of Keramoti. At this meeting, the Region of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace called for the establishment of resources so that the tourism sector could be extended to the benefit of the local community and national economy.
