The paintbrushes are on fire! Chrysa, Maria, Manos, Marina, Alexandra, Minas, Christina, Tasos, Michalis, Mary, Manolis, Nasia, Dimitris—and all the other little ones—joined once again as one cheerful group (along with the grown-ups too!) for the 8th consecutive year of the event “The Little Picassos of Kasos.”
Every afternoon in Kasos turns into a vibrant, imaginative journey filled with laughter, creativity, dreams, and colorful chaos. Children (and adults who feel like kids again) gather to paint as many pebbles as they can from their favorite island—all for a good cause. The result? Incredible creations of boats, flowers, fish, and sea-themed images inspired by their island.
This collective effort will culminate in a fun and lively Bazaar-Party at Kofteri Beach on Thursday, August 7 at 6:30 p.m.
As with every year, the proceeds will go to a charitable cause. In past years, the “Little Picassos of Kasos” have used the money to buy interactive whiteboards and air conditioners for the island’s schools, helped maintain the chapel of Agios Konstantinos, and donated to the Lyreio Children’s Foundation after the devastating wildfires in Mati.

The young artists extend their thanks to PLAISIO for once again sponsoring the materials, and to the Municipality of Kasos for its ongoing support.
Beyond the children, special recognition is due to the parents and volunteers for their invaluable help (and patience!)—and to all the moms for the homemade treats they’ll bring to the big bazaar celebration.

**“Every year they gather round,
The Kasos kids with glee,
With joy and cheer, they paint their stones
For all the world to see!
We may be little, yes it’s true,
But we love Kasos so!
And this year too, we paint again
As the ‘Little Picassos!’”**
