A fire alarm was raised a short while ago at the Fire Department after a blaze broke out in the pathology department of “Sotiria” Hospital, which is located on the second floor of the hospital’s old building.

Thirty firefighters with twelve vehicles responded to the scene, and the fire was quickly brought under control.

The National Emergency Aid Center dispatched ambulances, but there were no injuries.

Due to the incident, the area was immediately evacuated, and according to reports, instructions were given to remove the oxygen tanks as well.
