A huge queue formed yesterday on Kolokotroni Street in Halandri for the opening of a store of a major American fast food chain that “landed” in Greece, Taco Bell.
The store, on Kolokotroni Street, was overrun with people, and the queue was longer than 300 metres, all the way to Gftopoulou Street. There was also a traffic problem in the area as several people approached the spot with their cars.
The opening is a store in the Taco Bell chain that began in 1962, when Glen Bell opened the first restaurant in Downey, California. Bell already had experience in the food business, having sold hot dogs since 1948. Inspired by the popularity of Mexican restaurants, he experimented with taco recipes and created his own version.
Today, Taco Bell has grown into one of the largest fast food chains in the world, with thousands of stores in various countries. It is known for its popular dishes such as Crunchy Tacos, Burritos, and Quesadillas. However, Taco Bell doesn’t just offer Mexican food. The company has adapted its recipes to suit the tastes of the American market, creating what is known as Tex-Mex style.
