A new trend in social media is called “brelfies”. It calls young mothers to take selfies while they breastfeed.

This new trend comes as a reaction to the social media ban on a mother who uploaded a picture while she was breastfeeding. The mother was accused of breaking social media rules on naked content.

Kaya Wright, mother of two, was surprised to find out that one of her pictures depicting her breastfeeding was removed from Facebook for violating terms of service. The young mother had shared the picture in a private group about Breastfeeding. She could not believe that a photo which was meant for the specific purpose of the group would be considered inappropriate by some. Kaya shared her story and little by little, other women around Britain started taking Brelfies and posting them on Facebook.
