Research in the Aegean Sea, in areas west of Chios and Lesvos, is set to be conducted from October 4–14 by the Turkish ship Piri Reis.
The illegal NAVTEX was issued today, Thursday, by the hydrographic service of Izmir.
The oceanographic vessel Piri Reis will carry out “scientific research” in parts of the Aegean that are within the Greek continental shelf.
An anti-NAVTEX from the Lemnos station is expected.
