Madonna expressed her concerns about the rise of Marine Le Pen and the far-right National Front in France.
The queen of pop posted on her Instagram account the front page of Libération with Le Pen celebrating her victory and added the following comment: ““Russia, Ukraine, Venezuela, now France?!” including hashtags # fight Fascism # fightdiscrimination # fightlynchmobmentality # fighthatred # fightdorffreedom # revolutionoflove.
The National Front commented on this post through its vice president, Florian Philippot, and attacked Madonna via Twitter: “In politics, too Grandma Gaga is behind the times!”
Also, he compares her with the French former tennis player and now singer Yannick Noah, who had also attacked the party with a song: “Madonna is imitating Yannick Noah: This is the end of a complicated career!
It is worth recalling that Marine Le Pen sued Madonna in 2012 because during her world tour she had presented a video on stage with Le Pen having a swastika on her face.
