'Macedonian Hellenes in Oceania' book launch in Melbourne

Former Victoria State premier Jeff Kennet will present the book launch of “Macedonian Hellenes in Oceania” on March 25 — Greek Independence Day — at the Alphington Grammar School in Melbourne, part of events by organisations of Greeks from the province of Macedonia.

The groups organizing the book presentation are the Pan-Macedonian Union of Victoria, the Greek communities of Melbourne and the Australian Institute for Macedonian Studies.

Kennet is expected to emphasize the significance of the book in the history of Australia and emigration from Greece to Oceania.

The author is Notre Dame University (Australia) history professor Anastasios Tamis, who previously published “Greeks in the Far East”.
