Equity prices rose on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) at 11 a.m. on Tuesday as the basic share price index rose by 0.94% at 773.68 points and turnover at 12.25 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks increased by 0.77%and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index also rose by 1.67%.

Individual sector indices also rose, with the biggest gains in Chemicals (+2.84%), Banks (+2.27%) and Utilities (+1.70%). The only losses were in Food and Beverages (-0.48%).

39 stocks went up, 19 fell and 8 remained unchanged.
