According to the epidemiological report from EODY covering December 1–7, influenza activity is increasing in the community, while SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) cases remain stable.
Influenza-like Illness (ILI) – Regardless of Pathogen

Influenza Virus
- Community flu positivity (via the Sentinel Primary Care network) is above the epidemic threshold, indicating the start of seasonal flu activity.
- Hospital SARI surveillance shows very low flu activity.
- Two new severe influenza cases required ICU hospitalization, with no new deaths from laboratory-confirmed flu.
- Retrospectively, one severe ICU case from last week was also reported.
