A 24 year-old Franco-Algerian, accused of planning a terrorist attack against “one or two churches” was arrested in Paris on Sunday, according to the French Interior Minister, who underlined that terrorism is still a threat.
“Terrorists target France to break us apart, and the answer must be unity and decisiveness”, stated Manuel Valls, who reminded the French people and the world of the mass gatherings on January 11th which condemned the Paris terrorist attacks.
The 24 year-old Franco-Algerian, an IT student, was known to the French Intelligence authorities as wanting to travel to Syria to join the jihadist ranks. Police located his vehicle, and raided his house in Southern Paris. They discovered an “armory of rifles, handguns, war supplies, bulletproof vests and electronic equipment”.
