Weather: Week begins with light rain, change expected from Tuesday with lower temperatures and strong winds

The week begins with weather conditions similar to those of the past few days. However, a change is expected from Tuesday afternoon, with more rain, a drop in temperatures and stronger winds

Newsroom March 16 08:32

According to meteorologist Theodoros Kolydas, “a new weather system will affect our country, bringing rainfall that may persist until Friday across large parts of Greece.

At the same time, temperatures will drop noticeably but temporarily, with maximum values not exceeding 13°C, even in the eastern and southern parts of the country.

Winds will also strengthen significantly from northern directions, locally reaching 8 to 9 Beaufort, mainly on Thursday and Friday in the Aegean Sea and southern regions. Snowfall is expected in mountainous areas of mainland Greece, which at higher altitudes may be locally significant.”
