North Korean leader Kim Jong Un watched a live-fire test of multiple rocket launch systems, accompanied by his teenage daughter, who is considered his successor.
According to the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Jong Un on Saturday observed the exercise in which twelve highly precise 600-millimeter rocket launchers were used, off the eastern coast of North Korea.

At the same time, South Korea’s military announced that it detected about 10 ballistic missiles launched from the area of North Korea’s capital toward the eastern sea, with South Korea’s National Security Council describing it as a provocation that violates the decisions of the UN Security Council, which prohibit any ballistic activity by North Korea.
According to KCNA, the North Korean leader said the exercise would cause concern among enemies within the 420-kilometer range and give them “a deep understanding of the destructive power of tactical nuclear weapons.”
“If this weapon is used, the enemy’s military infrastructure within its strike range will never survive,” Kim Jong Un said, according to KCNA.
