A supplementary investigation has been ordered by a deputy public prosecutor of the Court of First Instance concerning a transport company which allegedly first placed the wreckage from the Tempi train crash in Koulouri and was then officially established as a private company (IKE) one month later.
The request for unsworn explanations concerns 17 individuals—private citizens, public officials, and elected representatives of the Region of Thessaly—who were responsible for the transport of the wreckage.
Trial over missing videos to continue on March 19
It is noted that on March 19 the trial concerning the missing videos of the freight train involved in the Tempi accident will continue at the Single-Member Misdemeanor Court of Larisa.
The hearing was interrupted last Tuesday due to the illness of the presiding judge, according to larissanet.gr. Earlier, the judicial expert witness was examined, responding to questions from lawyers representing both the prosecution and the defendants.
Because of the unexpected interruption, the court also did not examine the issue of selecting a special expert witness to evaluate the digital data contained in the devices of the forensic experts that had been seized.
However, lawyers representing the prosecution have submitted a request to obtain copies of the digital data.
