Giannis Charamidis, protothema.gr’s correspondent in Israel, visited the kindergarten in Rishon LeZion, a suburb of Tel Aviv, shortly after the cluster bomb attack launched by Iran in the area.
The images he captured reflect the scale of the destruction: shattered glass everywhere, destroyed spaces and classrooms that normally host young children now resembling a battlefield.
As seen in the following video, he went up to one of the floors of the building housing the kindergarten, documenting extensive damage, with severe impact on the walls and parts of the ceiling torn apart by the force of the explosion.
Inside the kindergarten that was hit:
The intensity of the attack is visible everywhere, with toys scattered among the rubble and images capturing the total chaos left behind by the explosion caused by the cluster bomb.
Fortunately, the school was closed on Saturday, meaning no children were present at the time of the explosion, thus avoiding an unspeakable tragedy.
