Tragic end in search for missing 4-year-old; father admits to killing

A Bulgarian national, 27, living in central Athens reportedly confessed to murdering, dismembering and scattering the child's body; Video surfaces on YouTube showing mother with 'plump' rolled up cigs

A shocking crime was uncovered by Greek police on Monday as a worst-case scenario appeared to materialize in the disappearance of four-year-old Ani Borisova when authorities charged her biological father with murder.

Hideous details emerged in the case when police sources said the corpse of the Bulgarian girl may never be found, hours after the suspect allegedly admitted to killing his daughter.

The 27-year-old suspect, identified as “Savvas”, reportedly cut up the child’s body, boiled and scattered it throughout several locations around the greater Athens area.

A key witness in the case proved to be the man’s Bulgarian roommate, who told police the suspect had made suspicious comments to him.

A major question now centres on motive and if the mother of the child, who reportedly lived at another location than the suspect, can shed light on the affair. The missing child’s mother later showed up on a video posted on YouTube giving out two ‘plump’ and rolled up cigarettes to a pair of Bulgarian-speaking men.

The woman, Didi Borisova, was later arrested on charges of child endangerment.

Young Ani’s disappearance was announced on April 24.

Besides blood samples taken from the suspect’s apartment, which belonged to the victim, Greek police also zeroed in on several discrepancies in the statements of the father and mother, reports state.
The man reportedly confessed shortly after his arrest over the weekend.
