More than one kilo of cocaine was found in the trunk of a car in Thessaloniki, with the assistance of a police drug-detection dog that uncovered the carefully hidden package.
The suspect had earlier been spotted approaching a parked vehicle and attempting to enter it using a key in his possession, which prompted the immediate mobilization of the Narcotics Unit.
During the search that followed, the police dog “Akylas” from the Halkidiki Police Directorate located the drugs in the trunk—a package of cocaine weighing 1 kilogram and 118 grams. The arrested individual is being brought before the public prosecutor, with a case file formed against him.
Video footage related to the case has been posted on the Facebook page of the General Regional Police Directorate of Central Macedonia.
