An incident in which a group of anti-authoritarian activists attacked students occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

According to information, the group of anti-authoritarians attacked members of the EAAK student group with clubs and helmets in the Faculty of Engineering, the Law School, and the School of Economics and Political Sciences.

The same reports state that in the Faculty of Engineering there are injured, fortunately only lightly, young students who suffered injuries to their upper and lower limbs as well as blows to the head.

Inside AUTH, two ambulances and a motorcycle paramedic from the National Emergency Aid Center (EKAB) were present in order to provide first aid to the injured students, while it is being examined whether some of them will need to be transferred to hospital for further medical care.

According to reports, seven people were injured.

Immediately after the incident, riot police forces entered the university campus. According to the same information, 40 people have been detained.

It is noted that the incidents took place one day before the student elections.
