• The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis spoke about elections in 2027 at the ND conference. Specifically, in his intervention he said: In 2027 Greeks will choose who they want to represent them in the Presidency of the EU. Specifically, he said:
  Greece will assume the presidency of the European Union in the second half of 2027 and certainly Greek citizens in the 2027 elections will choose which Prime Minister and which government can represent the country in this very important European obligation
• Intervention by the Vice President of ND Kostis Hatzidakis at the conference with sharp remarks, with multiple recipients and unifying characteristics for the whole ND. After references among others to Kostas Karamanlis, Antonis Samaras and Vangelis Meimarakis, he stressed that ND members must protect the ethos of the faction and not forget that they serve something greater than themselves.
• “Let everyone return back to our great party, let us not fear anyone,” urged Adonis Georgiadis
• Praise for the Prime Minister for the country’s economic recovery was awarded by the President of the EPP Manfred Weber, who noted that proof of regained trust is the election of Kyriakos Pierrakakis to the presidency of the Eurogroup.

Adonis Georgiadis: “Let everyone return back to our great party, let us not fear anyone”
The dilemma “Mitsotakis or return to decline” is what is being put forward, among other things he stressed in his speech at the ND conference, the Minister of Health and Vice President of the party Adonis Georgiadis, also calling for “let everyone return back to our great party, let us not fear anyone”.

The minister said:

• Be very proud that you are in the faction of Konstantinos Karamanlis who kept Greece standing upright.
• If we told someone years ago that a Greek minister would be elected President of the Eurogroup, they would think you are crazy
• The dilemma is Mitsotakis or Greece returning back to decline.
• The faction that is taking Greece to the future, the faction that is not afraid to change even its own habits. Yes they call us conservative and I have no objection. I deliberately wore a tie today with the flag and the cross. What our faction can offer is how we combine artificial intelligence with the defense of our identity, our homeland, our religion. And yes this faction offers the bet for the future without losing our soul, our identity.
• As we kept Greece in the euro during the decade of bankruptcy—with the Samaras–Venizelos government—and today with the Mitsotakis government we want our Greece to be great.
• Let everyone return back to our great party. Let us fight all together so Greece can be great.
• Do not fear them, do not retreat to bullying. Do not let them point the finger at us. None of our political opponents can point the finger at us. Do you know why, Kostis? (referring to Kostis Hatzidakis) There are the “comme il faut” views, not to let it slip, not to say anything extra. But I believe you must behave to others the way they behave to you.
• We will fight them!!! Look now for two days at what panic PASOK is in.

Hatzidakis: “We must be present in easy and difficult times, we serve something greater than ourselves”
Intervention by the Vice President of ND Kostis Hatzidakis at the conference with sharp remarks, with multiple recipients and unifying characteristics for the whole ND. After references, among others, to Kostas Karamanlis, Antonis Samaras and Vangelis Meimarakis, he stressed that ND members must protect the ethos of the faction and not forget that they serve something greater than themselves.

He said among other things:

• ND is Kostas Karamanlis who said the proud “no” in Bucharest. ND is Antonis Samaras who fought the battle to keep us in the euro. And ND is Vangelis Meimarakis who in the turbulent summer of 2015 helped ensure the country stayed in Europe.
• ND is the faction that expresses patriotism of responsibility; this was ND of Konstantinos Karamanlis and this is today with Kyriakos Mitsotakis
• Our obligation is not to allow our work to be slandered. We must all be present in easy and difficult times. We must all protect the ethos of this great faction. ND started before us. And it is the course of this faction that imposes measure, ethos, seriousness and responsibility, without forgetting that we serve something much bigger than ourselves.
• We will not claim a vote of gratitude, we will ask for a vote of realistic hope and perspective for Greece.
• We are the large popular party of the country.
• We give away toxicity to those who have no proposals. You do not always reach your destination if you throw stones at barking dogs. We give away nihilism to those who do not believe in Greece’s strength.
• To make ND self-sufficient again, we need the greatest possible party cohesion. I have served the faction since I was 18, no one is surplus in this faction. Dialogue and self-criticism are a core element of parties, but there is no space for small egos. I believe in “we” and I am certain you believe in the broad ND.
• We must form a large, broad alliance of common sense.

Adonis Georgiadis: When the information revolution happened, Greece was under PASOK rule, we lost it
We lost as a country the information revolution because Greece was under “PASOK rule,” said the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis, who participated in the thematic panel on artificial intelligence at the ND conference. He said in particular: “Artificial intelligence gives our country a huge advantage and it seems we are managing to seize this advantage. What is it? Look, when the industrial revolution happened Greece was under Ottoman rule. In reality we missed it. When the information revolution happened Greece was under PASOK rule, we missed that too.
So now we have our first opportunity to use the artificial intelligence revolution to change the real position of our country in the global balance of power because that is what AI will do.”

Mitsotakis on AI: Which government will utilize the benefits of Artificial Intelligence and control its consequences?
The Prime Minister participates in a discussion on Artificial Intelligence with Vasilis Koutsoumpas, advisor to the Presidency of the Government on AI issues, and start-uppers.
Among other things, he said:

• Is there any other party that would have done, within the framework of its pre-conference dialogue, a similar discussion to the one we are having today? ND’s gaze is turned to the future. As a country we must handle a massive technological revolution that is coming.
• The question is which government, which party, which country will be able to utilize the benefits of AI, but at the same time control the consequences of a technological revolution that will change everything?
• I am in favour of banning the use of social media for children under 15 years old. And of course we must see how we can give space to AI companies to grow in Greece and Europe, to be financed here and bring people from abroad to work in them.
• Because Greek citizens have knowledge, judgment and memory and ultimately see who can face these challenges, that is why again in the next elections they will trust New Democracy to lead the great effort of upgrading the country
• We won electoral victories because we managed to align with the demands of the times and express the silent majority that wanted a better Greece. I prefer to set the bar very high and pass under it and correct ourselves and understand our mistakes rather than keep the bar low.
• For the next term the problem of affordable housing will be a central priority for our faction. However, we are a liberal faction that does not believe the state should do everything. If someone believes that the solution today is for the state to build workers’ housing as it did in the past, without private sector participation, I think they are thinking in terms of the 20th rather than the 21st century.
• We are not willing to spend Greek taxpayers’ money without added value, which means that in all major programs there will be a 25 percent added value requirement.
• Two of the eight blocks that compose the Belharra frigate are manufactured in Greece at the Salamis shipyards, and not only the parts for the Greek Belharra are produced but also those that go into the French Belharra.
