The poll, presented in Mega’s main news bulletin, confirms the dominance of New Democracy and the further fragmentation of the opposition, with Tsipras’ party taking PASOK’s position (and its percentages). The main opposition party remains narrowly in third place, with a lead of just 0.8 points over Maria Karystianou’s “Elpida”.

New Democracy is recorded at 28.5% (from 28.6% in April) in voting estimate, leading by 13.3 points over ELAS of Alexis Tsipras, which recorded 15.2%. PASOK loses 3.8 points over the month, falling to 11.2% in voting estimate and 9% in voting intention (down 2.3 points), while Maria Karystianou’s party—whose leader is recorded as the most popular political figure, with Zoe Konstantopoulou second—stands at 10.4% in voting estimate.

In the new political landscape, the only opposition parties that appear unaffected are “Voice of Reason” and MeRA25, both securing entry into parliament with low but stable support slightly above 3%, resulting in a nine-party parliament. All other parties show significant losses — notably, SYRIZA falls below the parliamentary threshold.

It is noted that the percentage of those voting for political stability decreased by one point (from 39% to 38%), although among centre-right voters support for stability remains at 70%. Meanwhile, the share of those saying the country is heading in the wrong direction increased by 3 points (from 66% to 69%).

Mitsotakis dominance, Androulakis losses

Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads Alexis Tsipras by 14 points (28% vs 14%) in suitability for prime minister, followed at a distance by Nikos Androulakis and Maria Karystianou, both at 6%.

The Prime Minister’s evaluation by citizens is up by three points (from 27% to 30%), returning to levels seen in the early phase of the war in the Persian Gulf, when he had sent frigates and F-16s to strengthen Cyprus’ defense. The government’s overall evaluation is also up by one point. In contrast, PASOK and its leader face a worsening image, with negative opinions rising by three points: the opposition party now has 80% negative and only 12% positive ratings, while Mr. Androulakis has just 14% positive evaluations. In popularity, he drops five points and ranks fifth from the bottom among political leaders, with 21%.
