A boat carrying 48 migrants was detected by a Frontex drone in the sea area 42 nautical miles south of Kaloi Limenes in Heraklion, Crete.
Under the coordination of the Single Coordination Center for Search and Rescue, the migrants were recovered by a Frontex vessel.
The migrants are being transported to the port of Kaloi Limenes. Winds of 5 Beaufort are blowing in the area.
