As it does every October, the Peloponnese will once again be filled with classic cars this year, from 4 to 11 October, when the Tour du Péloponnèse, Greece’s largest classic car rally, takes place. Four months before the start of this year’s 13th edition, 90 vehicles and their crews from 20 countries have already registered to take part.
The numbers speak for themselves. A total of 180 participants from 20 countries will take part. Including mechanics, support teams and event organisers, some 250 people will be involved in a unique nine-day, 1,000-kilometer route through the diverse landscapes of the Peloponnese. With 24 special regularity stages and 180 satellite timing checkpoints, the Tour du Péloponnèse is no accidently regarded as Greece’s largest historic and classic car event.
Looking through the list of entrants, one realises that the term “beautiful cars” is subjective. Perhaps “vehicles that stir emotions” would be more appropriate, as they awaken memories of old races, films, friends who are no longer with us but left behind something unique: a sweet memory that, from a fleeting moment, became a lasting imprint.
This year’s TdP will begin with Technical and Administrative Scrutineering on 4 October at the Aldemar Olympian Village in Skafidia. The ceremonial start will, as always, take place that same evening in Ancient Olympia — the birthplace of sport — where the 90 vehicles and their crews will set off at 20:00.
The first competitive day, Monday 5 October, will take participants through Arcadia and Lake Ladon, with an overnight stay in the traditional town of Dimitsana. On Day Two, Tuesday 6 October, competitors will have the opportunity to visit Ancient Messene before spending the night at Costa Navarino.
The third day, Wednesday 7 October, promises spectacular coastal routes through Pylos, Methoni, Petalidi, Kalamata and Sparta, before crews stay in imposing Mystras beneath the watchful gaze of its historic fortified town.

Day Four, Thursday 8 October, includes routes through the uniquely beautiful landscapes of Laconia, passing through Geraki, Kosmas, Leonidio, Tyros and Astros before finishing in elegant Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece.
The final route on Day Five is equally impressive, taking crews through Methana, Thermisia and Iliokastro before arriving in Porto Heli and preparing for the traditional Night Special Stage, which has long served as the customary finale of every TdP, as insiders affectionately call the event.
The Tour du Péloponnèse is jointly organised by the Hellenic Historic Vehicle Club (ELIA) and the Triskelion Motorsport Club, with the support of the Italian club Scuderia Campidoglio and the Argolic Association of Vintage Vehicles (Ar.S.O.E.).
We invite everyone fortunate enough to be located near this year’s route, as well as all friends and enthusiasts wishing to follow the event in person, to join us and enjoy Greece’s largest historic and classic car event, the 13th Tour du Péloponnèse 2026.
