The rescue of illegal immigrants within Turkish territorial waters by Greek Port authorities escalated to be quite eventful.
Originally The Greek Port Authorities were alerted by Romanian colleagues on Friday at dawn , that passengers of an inflatable boat on Turkish waters were at risk.
As expected, the Greek Coast boat entered the Turkish waters and collected 10 illegal immigrants while their inflatable boat sank.
The Turkish patrol boat approached but refused to accept the rescued immigrants.
When the foreigners realized the presence of the Turkish patrol boat feared that they will take them to Turkey, and jumped in the sea and began to swim towards the Greek coast.
Finally, three immigrants were collected from the Turks despite the Greeks request to surrender them.
Eventually the remaining seven rescued illegal immigrants were transferred to the port of Mytilene, Greece.
