Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos met with India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal.
The meeting took place at the Ministry of Development and, according to an official statement, reaffirmed the shared commitment of Greece and India to strengthen their economic ties. Discussions focused on increasing bilateral investment, expanding trade, and enhancing cooperation in industry and manufacturing.
A key topic of the talks was also the advancement of the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), a strategically important project designed to improve connectivity between India and Europe while significantly enhancing Greece’s role as a gateway to the European market.
Mr. Theodorikakos stressed that relations between Greece and India are based on a strategic partnership founded on friendship and mutual trust, with the aim of creating new opportunities for businesses, industry, and investment in both countries.
