Greek PM Alexis Tsipras moved forth to with second “attack” against lenders, characterizing their focus on cuts in pensions as incessant and illogical, speaking to the press after his meeting with visiting Austria Chancellor Werner Faymann.

The Greek PM stated that political decisions must now be made and noted that the government has done everything in its power to reach a deal.

Tsipras also stated that the government has received a mandate by the people (36 percent of those who voted in January 2015), to bring forth a socially viable agreement to a country which has lost 25% of its GDP to a rescue program without any positive effects. He added that the government will judge the proposal to be tabled, based on its social viability and its social acceptance.
